In a previous article the general recommendation was made to cut your intake of carbs in half for five days, then increase it back to your previous level for two days. You would continue to repeat this cycle until you have achieved the desired effect (i.e. you have reduced your body fat to the level you want).

What effect can you expect from this cycle? After the initial five days of depleting your carbs you can expect to see a loss of 1/2 to 1.5 pounds. This will vary from person to person. You may lose more or less. What happens when you increase your carbs? You may experience some weight gain. Don’t be alarmed. This is normally due to water retention. Once you return to your 5 day carb reduction you should hit a lower bodyweight than you did previously. It’s an amazing transformation! Read more

November 22, 2009 · Filed Under Drinks · Comments Off

Every single state has different regulations regarding alcohol training and service. Some states will require little to no actual training or education for servers, while other states will require a lot of education and training in order to be certified to serve alcohol. Regardless of what your state requires, business owners and employers shouldn’t waver on their requirements. It might seem easy to just hire people and let them work, but having proper alcohol training for your employees can be invaluable to the success of your business.

While your state may or may not have specific regulations for alcohol training, your business should have guidelines in place simply to protect yourself. It might not seem like that big of a deal, but the first time that you’re put into a position of facing legal troubles or other issues because of improper service techniques or even just customer complaints, you will realize that the training was a worthy expense. It isn’t always expensive, and each state offers different approved courses that you and your employees can take to make your business more reputable and professional. Read more

One meal that is very simple to throw together in the morning before work and leave alone until you all can find time to eat that night is the classic roast. The roast is easy to prepare because all you have to do is place the thawed roast in the crock pot or slow cooker, add some potatoes and carrots, and any other vegetables, and then let it cook on low heat until you get home that night. This dish can then be easily served to one or more people at random times, which means you don’t all have to be there at the same time in order to eat. One word of advice with the vegetables is that if you plan on adding soft vegetables like zucchini, squash, or tomatoes, you may want to add them a couple hours before the roast is done.
